I was dealing with my mother’s estate and my lawyer recommended Ken MacGowan to have the house appraisal done for probate. When Ken came to do the appraisal, I was very impressed with his professionalism, down-to-earth, personable service. He also provided suggestions on what I could do to get the house ready to sell. I mentioned to Ken that when I was ready to sell the house I would be in touch with him to look after the selling process for me.
During the following 11 months I kept Ken informed of the progress I was making and that I had not forgotten my promise to him. When I finally had the house ready to go on the market, Ken and Mike came to do the walk through and were shocked at the difference in the house due to the recommendations Ken had made. The house sold within 5 days of the listing date for far more than my asking price. They were very professional, easy to work with to make the selling of the house seamless and helped me to exceed my expectations for the selling of the house.

It is not easy to find a real estate agent who looks after your best interest before his. Ken is definitely one of those rare professional agents. Over 10 years ago when I was looking to buy a house in Ottawa, I liked a house and was willing to buy it. Being honest, Ken told me about one of its shortcomings. I ended up not buying it. Ken managed to find a better one. I bought it in 2008. He managed also to sell it for me in 2017, even though I was living away in Egypt.
